Old China Cafe

My mum and nephew was in town for the past one week, they are still here and will go back soon. That explain, why i hardly update my blog and also blog hopping lately.

During their stay, beside than bring them go shopping, eat and still more shopping and more eat ! There go my year end diet. :( My boys are having tons of fun with their cousin over to play with them for the first time. When me and my mum shop, we put them at kidspot or starship let them play, they enjoy and me and my mum enjoy our shopping and eating too. ahhahahhaha

Last weekend, on the second night they are here, we brought them to this nyonya restaurant to have dinner. My mum love nyonya food and i been to this cafe once only, that is after my Melaka trip, didn't had typical nyonya food, back to KL, i went to this restaurant to have dinner.

This restaurant had been there for many years already, i heard about it and pass by that place many many times, but never step in . I read a lot good review about the food here too, after i tried, i decide to bring my mum there.

A very antique entrance and the decoration inside also very antique. :)

this is the menu board display outside the cafe.

inside of the cafe. Sorry for the poor lighting, the light in the cafe a bit dim.

another view of the cafe...

my mum with the three grandsons....:)

Lobak...

my mum order this coconut rice...taste like normal rice, nothing special about this..

nyonya assam fish, this big fish only cost us RM38, quite a good deal.

sweet and sour meat and pork pong teh

kankung belacan, hubs favorite

we didn't order this dish this time. We had it during my first visit, since i am updating this, i just add in this picture too. Roast Pork Devil Curry, this is good!

Overall the food are good, most diners are "mat salleh", i can see them finger licking good!! hahahhaha

Ah...this must be the nyonya restaurant that we were supposed to go to. Must give it a try on my next trip - never mind even if it's a bit more expensive than the one we went to. Hungry...looking at the food, haven't had lunch yet!
