A Special Day - 22-01-2012

I am turning into my BIG 4 today!! Yes, a year older and a year wiser, i hope not only my body getting wiser. LOL

Today it is also Chinese New Year eve, everyone is celebrating this day with having reunion dinner with family members. We had it week earlier with my in laws as everyone will be flying off for holidays. As for us, we will be staying at home, and go for a quiet dinner for just 4 of us.

My bunch of thoughtful and good friends celebrated my 40th birthday few weeks ago, despite everyone are busy preparing Chinese New Year and also busy with their work but they still take some time off to have lunch and dinner with me, I am so blessed to have them.

Food post will come out soon, at the mean time, just let me post some pictures.

Dim Sum & KLCC Aquarium

This year, new year's day fall on Sunday and glad we get one replacement off on Monday, and kids school only start two days after, at least we can spent sometime with the kids since during long school holidays, we all busy with a lot things and didn't bring them to go anywhere for holidays.

We all woke up quite late, and daddy suggest to go for dim sum, he said long time he did not have dim sum and there we go to Sri Petaling for dim sum.

lor mai kai, hmmm..this one taste so so, maybe they didn't add chinese sausage? Taste a bit "bland" to me, this is just my own opinion, maybe other like.

It was a public holidays, and the place were so crowded with people and tourist!! We want to bring the kids to Petrosains, but it was closed. :( Then my boys request to go to Aquarium, they were there when they are 2 years old plus, i don't think they remember anything, but we do show them the pictures. This is their second visit.

When we are there, just on time for the fish feeding. It is 12 noon and 3pm, two feeding session daily. Look at the crowd..we manage to stand quite near to the glass..

and we went on this conveyor things, it move slowly and make a big turn, my boys love it so much, and we went for two rounds and they even want for the third round.

we spent almost 2 hours at aquarium then we walked back to KLCC.

When my first time at the KLCC aquarium, i was quite impress but on my second time, i think it is ok, and especially after i had visited the one in Coex Korea (ooppppss...i have yet finish the post on my korea trip LAST YEAR, maybe i want finish it all, although it already become a histroy, but it still worth to pen it down here for my own reference. :) ) the aquarium is big and look so so nice.

Christmas cum Full Moon Party 2011

Ok, i know i am slow, i still catching up with my blog update!

On last Christmas Day, we had a Christmas party (actually every year we do had one) + full moon party. Hub's younger brother just got a princess, and her full moon just two days before Christmas, so we thought , it would be nice just combine both celebration together and do it on the Christmas day.

All of us had a great fun time and I hope our guests enjoy themselves with the food too.

1st day at Big School

I am back and this is my first post in Year 2012, hope not too late to wish everyone and my readers a Very Happy New Year!!

Thank you for those who drop by here often to check on me and visit my blog, bear with me despite i hardly update my blog .

Things has change starting the new year, everything will not be the same anymore, my "honeymoon" moment already over.
This year, my boys started going to the "big school" ie: Standard one . The havoc start two weeks before the school started, they went for orientation, it suppose to be to get to know the school better but when we reached the school, we only know that the boys had to sit for exam and only decide whether they will be in the same class or not. On the first and second trip to school, both of them are in different classroom, poor me have to run in between two classes to get things done.

Three days ago ( 04.01.2012), it is the first day of school, they are excited and they have to wake up as early as 6am now. First day, they are still ok, but the following two days, i have to drag them out from the bed, same goes to me, i also have to adjust my body time zone, need to drag myself out from the comfy bed, it had been so long i never wake up so early *yawn*.

Look at Cruz sleepy and moody face, but Fearles was excited, he can't wait to go to school.

After the first two times, on the day to school, i checked the new name list, finally found my two boys are on the same class. Praise the lord. I did make special request, to tell the teacher, try to put them in same class, it will be easier for me to coach them homework and also the time at school.

We are a bit late on the first day, due to the bad traffic, go to the classroom, most seat taken, so two of them sit at the back corner.

but just after a short while, they already make some friends! I can see them chatting happily daily . :(

the classroom, quite empty, we parent will go and "deco" the class tomorrow.

now i very worry on this corner of the five boys, they seems to have a lot fun time there!!

So far, i am quite happy with this school and my boys's class teacher is a friendly, humble, patient and motherly look lady, we parent are happy to have her as our kids class teacher. I am quite surprise that, in the school, they do have a parent class rep, i am not sure about other class, but my boys's one, they do have. With this parent class rep, she will have a monthly meeting with the teacher on the class things and also the kids progress or any update or changes, at least we all not being left out. I think with parent and teacher work hand in hand, it will get things done better.

The school also encourage us as parent, try to involve more in school activity. Like tomorrow, we will go to the class to clean up our kids classroom and put up some deco like educational card or poster or note or pictures to make the class look more interesting and a fun place to study. I am glad that, most parent from my boys's class are sporting, almost everyone participate, give in their suggestion or idea, how to make the class interesting and a better place for our kids. I am looking forward to it, it is something new to me now.

Well, me and the boys survive for the first week, hope next week will be a better week for me and the boys and hope we will adapt with the new routine well soon.

Yuan Xiang Seafood Restaurant @ Port Dickson

In the earlier post, i was mention, we didn't get to have our breakfast, since all of us woke up late and the breakfast at the hotel is lousy, we save our stomach for the lunch.

After checked out from the hotel, we went nearby to have our late lunch. This is our first time at this restaurant, this restaurant is inside/next to a temple, in PD, you sure won't missed that the big temple, this is where the restaurant located.

lala in clear soup, they add some chili paid in the soup, to give that an extra kick. Nice.
But the lala, a bit small.

ok, i forgot what is this. hahahhaha..i think is chicken fillet?

and last with this very miserable chicken. No, no one has take the chicken, this is how it look when they serve. tsk tsk tsk.

Overall food was ok, service a bit slow, and you have to keep waving at them to get the service. Since we all are super hungry, we didn't complain much and in PD hardly can find something which is really really nice. We don't mind to go back to this place again.

Admiral Cove @ Port Dickson

Time flies, another one more week, school will re-open again. :( *sigh*

During this school holidays, we didn't bring the boys to anywhere, it is a busy month. Beginning of the month, we brought the kids to a short holiday at Port Dickson, the nearest.

We are at this hotel again, Admiral Cove Port Dickson, we sign up as a member of Avillion, we got complimentary room voucher at Admiral Cove too.

The hotel lobby area over look the beautiful sea.

They upgrade our room to Deluxe room this time,bigger room , but i still like their superior room on our last visit, their air cond is super cold.

We arrived quite late in the evening around 6pm, kids can't wait want to go for a swim.

After spending one hour + in the pool, we all are hungry and went out for dinner. To the restaurant that we visited often, food as usual are good, no pictures, because i am too hungry and have to taking care the four kids, ( one of my sister in law didn't go, as she is still in confinement, i have to help her to take care her kids on the food) . We had a birthday cake cutting session there too to celebrate my hub and my second brother in law and his son birthday, all are December babies!!

Guess what, while on the way to the dinner place, we saw this fun fair, kids are all excited want to go to fun fair. After dinner, we decide to stop for a while, it is already pass 10pm, but it is still a lot people.

Me and Cruz the scary cat, we didn't go for the ride, but surprise Fearles went with the daddy. All of them had a good laugh, said the "ghost" very funny!! :S

this is the "ghost train" they ride, veyr short, it just make a turn and come out, but it keep turning like 7-8 rounds, in and out from the house.

We spent almost an hour in the fun fair, then we went back to hotel and rest. All of us are dead tired.

Next day, we all woke up late, and we skip breakfast as the breakfast at this hotel is horrible, i don't know why the management didn't do anything to the breakfast, even thought they have received a lot complain from the guests. :( We get the kids eat some cookies and drink some milk and cup noodles and let them had a good time at the pool and beach side.

my boys can't wait to dip into the pool again....it is freezing cold.....bbbbrrrrpppppp...

They spent about an hour in the pool then we proceed to the beach and had some water sport. One thing about this hotel beach, we need to walk quite a distance to go to their private beach. *sigh*

all of them went for banana boat!!! My hub and younger brother in law and two maids and the kids all are on the boat!!!! Wow!

Fearles was crying!! Hub is naughty, he told the banana boat man to make them all drop into the water but nearer to the beach, at least not deep, all not prepare, Cruz was excited, but Fearles un-prepare, and once he fall he is cried. Ok, he is not as Fear-less as his name, heheheh..he took after me, scary cat. kekeekekkeke

We spent another hour at the beach, then time to check out the room and we went for a late lunch! This is our short holidays at the beach and stay tune on what food we had on that afternoon.

Publika Shopping Gallery @ Solaris Dutamas

My mum was in town end of last month, she stayed for about a week plus. When she is in town, usually we will bring her walk around, eat and shop.

We brought her to this newly open Publika Shopping Gallery one of the night, i saw quite a lot of my friend post picture of this place. I find it quite interesting, decide to pester hub to bring us there.

It is still new, not a lot shops open, only a few. First thing we decide to check out their food court.

Senjyu @ Bangsar Village II

Last night, we went to this Japanese restaurant to celebrate my hub's / the boy's daddy birthday. Since it is a weekday and last night my boys got music class too, we decide to go somewhere convenient to have dinner.

Suddenly this Senjyu Japanese restaurant come into my mind, it just open a month or two months ago, we have not been here before. Check with the birthday boy, he said alright. After sent the boys for music class, we walk and shop while waiting for them to finish their class.

Oh, this is really good, big prawns and crispy! I like so much. So far this is the best tempura that i had.

They had dinner at home earlier, otherwise they have to starve till 8pm! Each of them had 4 tamago to themselves.

Something interesting, top with strawberry and mango. The green slice is cucumber thin slice, roll it with some crispy fish ( i think) in the centre, crunchy and it is yummylicious!!

School Holidays

School holidays already started a week ago, (time passed that fast!!) so far i have got nothing plan for the boys. :( The first week i let them relax and enjoy, but on off they still need to practice their piano and do some homework given by me, I bought some exercise book for them, need them to practice, otherwise they will forget everything when school start next year and also i try to get them to read a story book every night.

On the first week, i brought them to Children's Technology Workshop, i got a quite good deal from online, let them to have some fun. I thought i can use the voucher twice, since i bought two vouchers for each boy, but, the lady at the center told me, each kid only can redeem the voucher ONCE! Out of no choice, i have to sell off another two extra vouchers. The boys was quite disappoint.

Actually i want them to try Apprentice Engineer and next round Engineer, but since Apprentice Engineer a bit "too easy" for them, so the "teacher" give them try another one ,Engineer.

They told me, it is interesting, they want to go again. Maybe the next round i want them to try to do the 2D animation, the one will be quite interesting i think. The class come no cheap, it is RM60 @ per kid @ per class.

Graduation

I have to said this again, time flies!! Tomorrow will be my boys last day at the kindy. Think back, they had been in this kindy for 3.5 years.

From a naughty boys to now, a more mature boys. They definitely learn a lot from here and also they are more discipline. They remember what teacher told them, teacher told them, don't watch too much cartoon, especially Tom and Jerry, choose those show that are more educational. They keep that in mind, it had been 1/2 year they didn't watch Tom and Jerry show, if they accidently turn in, they will quickly switch to another channel and they will keep remind each other, teacher said cannot watch Tom and Jerry. LOL

Back to the topic, last week, they had their Thanks Giving and Graduation Day. Those 6 years old which will going to graduate, they had a few performance, dance & singing. I took a few videos of it, but it took a long time to load it here, i will just post the pictures up.

I also prepare something small for the kids at the kindy, i thought of giving it to them on the last day of school which is tomorrow, but i am worried it will be quite rush, that explain i pass it to the kids at school today, but the teacher only told me, they will have a mini early Christmas celebration tomorrow, so the teacher will only distribute it to the kids tomorrow.

My Cooking - Ayam Goreng Rempah

I cooked this dish on Deepavali holiday. This is my very first experience in cooking Malay Cuisine. What make me think of cooking this dish, because, lately i got addicted with this ayam goreng rempah, there is a stall at our office building food court selling very nice nasi kukus with ayam goreng rempah, my colleagues saw me almost having it twice every week, she asked me how come you don't want to learn how to cook this dish, very easy.

She gave me her recipe, and i read through and of course i had asked tons of question on what is what, hahahah, got quite confuse and don't know what the ingredient is and some of the herbs.

This is the ingredients you need ~

Onion - 6 nos (you can add more if you like more onion)

daun limau / kaffir lime leave - 2 pcs

bawang putih / garlic - 4 cloves (mine look a lot, because the recipe i get was 4 biji, i thought biji as in 4 bulbs!!!! That explain my rempah a bit bitter because of too much garlic, malay cuisine not like chinese, need a lot garlic.)

candlenut / buah keras - 6 nos

Coriander seed / ketumbar - 1 big spoon

Tamarind juice / air assam - 1 spoon of tamarind paste and mix with water.

blended all the ingredient above together and this is what you will get.

Galangal / Lengkuas - the main ingredient! If you like to get more rempah, you can put more.

This is the ready one, so i don't need to blend myself.

put in some oil and cooked the ingredients first till it fragrant

then add in chicken and cooked and slowly add in 500cc water and salt, keep stir and cook till the water dried.

this is what you get...

You can leave it aside first, when you about to have dinner, fried the chicken together with the rempah. Serve it hot and really nice to go with a bowl of rice.

Rempah. I keep it in a container, it go nice with the rice, yummmm!!

You can sprinkle the rempah on top of the chicken too.

First time trying and not bad, i get the taste correct except some part of the rempah a bit bitter, as i mistaken on the garlic nos. *note to myself*

It sure taste as good as it look! :D

Halloween

Happy Halloween!!

This year, we didn't get invited or join any treat or tricks like last year, so how we "celebrate" this day? We do nothing but i am fixing another "Halloween" bento for the boys.

Hope this one look a bit "better" than the previous "injury ghost" !! hahahha

When i saw the "doughnut bread" idea at pinterest few days ago, i told myself, i must try it.

Here is my version, fixed it last two days for my boys breakfast. When i am back from work, they said, i got surprise today, i got doughnut bread!! I like!! Please fix again!

It had been quite sometime since i last fix lunch bento for my boys. Last weekend, i decide to fixed something for them. I told Cruz i want to do "halloween" bento for them. You know he look at me in puzzle and asked "are you sure you know how to do???????" I said i will do something really simple since i am not so expert and creative.

So this is the outcome........hmmmmmmm.....i know the "ghost" don't look very scary :(.

Marutama Ra-Men @ Fahrenheit 88

Usually, we will spent our Sunday going out for some window shopping, or some movie and for some food.

Two weeks ago, hub said he want to try the Ramen at this restaurant, Marutama Ra-Men @ Fahrenheit 88, his brother always it is nice. Here we are......

The ramen here looks like wantan noodles, but taste not like wantan noodles, but it is nice, just nice, not the type of ramen that i like.

Good service and food was ok. I still prefer my Ramen at this place.

After dinner, how can we missed to go to the opposite shopping mall? Yes, we are at Pavillion and this is my second time step foot at Pavillion.

Since we already had our dinner, we just check out the place, maybe should go there to try out the food next round. We come to this shop that sell Mochi, Cruz is a big fans of Mochi, we walk in and have a look.

I bought four different flavour, hub said get a box which contain six, i told him i am not eating, only Cruz and Fearles and it can't keep long also. Reach home, i have a small bite, it cold and the skin so chewy and i like the texture and not too sweet also. It is so different from the normal mochi, i love it so much and you can guess end up who finish all!!!!!

We went into Daiso, this time i behave very good, didn't get much things and no bento stuff this round too! hahahhahah

Last weekend, while on the way back home from our dinner. We saw a long straight beam of light from a shopping mall that near our house. Casually, i asked the boys to see, and said maybe there are some function going on at the mall.....then our conversation as below....

Lion City - Singapore 2011 - Day 3

Third day, we don't have any plan and our flight was in the late afternoon. Actually i do plan to join "duck tour" on day 3 morning since we are quite free with no plan. After checking with the hotel concierge, they said the tour only available at 1pm. It will be a bit too rush for us if we join the tour.

Since with no plan, we woke up quite late, take our own sweet time, get ready, and we headed to Vivo City (again) to have our brunch with my sister in law's mother and aunty, since they are all in Singapore.

My sister in law keep telling us, she want to bring us to this restaurant to have lunch, she said it is really nice, she was here during her last visit. And i have to agree with her on the food, and the price very good too. hahahahhahah

Actually, the restaurant was full, we told them since we are here, just let us go in...pleaseeeee....but they keep telling us they are full, we said we come all the way from Malaysia, and we didn't kow we have to make booking. After few "please", the captain lead us in. LOL

Since sister in law been there before, so we let her do the food ordering....and at the end i think she over order!! Look at the food, with 6 ladies + 4 kids + 1 baby how to finish?? tsk tsk tsk...

the tidbits or appetizer - fish skin? Hmmmm..usually i don't fancy those skin skin things, but this one quite tasty and it is very crispy.

egg tarts...hmmm..i don't take egg tart, so cannot comment on this.

xiao long pau - i tell you, this is super nice, i think a lot better than the famous one in KL.

this one is interesting. A plate of crispy rice and they pour it into the hot soup, it's like having rice in soup, but this is tasty, something like what i had it in Hong Kong two years back.

After the heavy brunch, we still got sometime to kill. Sister in law and her mother they decide to have some shopping at Vivo City and my hub sister want to go back to USS to get something. Me and the boys go with my hub sister, better not to let her go alone, and before we take the escalator up to the top floor to take the monorail, to our horror, it is FULL OF PEOPLE! The queue was so long till they have to block off the escalator avoiding people keep going up. Most of them are foreigner, and everyone were pushing away, i have to hold my boys tight, oh dear, i think this is the most horror time. People push till my boys stuck aside and we can't walk up to the escalator, lucky there are security, he let us with kids to go first.

look at the madness, i thought i am in some foreign country!!!!!!!!

we got a hard time to board the monorail, everyone not queuing, once they saw the train arrived, we don't need to walk and those behind you and beside you will push and squeeze till we stuck our face on the monorail door, yes, it is that bad!!!! I am so worried my boys, i hold one, and my hub sister help me hold one, we had to hold them so so tight scare lost them behind. I told hub sister, lucky sister in law didn't follow us, otherwise she will give birth her baby here!!! Everyone not considerate till they jam the monorail, till the staff have to "pull" the extra people out from the cabin. tsk tsk tsk ...what an experience. It actually just a short distance from Vivo City to USS, but the drama took us almost 40 minutes to reach USS!!!

Reach USS, hub sister quickly get what she want, and i quickly get some shirt from there and took some picture and we left.

Meet up with sister in law, then we head back to hotel, packed and ready to go to airport.

time to leave...and this is my first trip in Singapore, short trip but fruitful! Me and the boys enjoy very much.

Lion City - Singapore 2011 - Day 2

Second day, USS ( Universal Studio Singapore) day, woke up around 8am, but it rain so heavy. We get the kids ready, get them to drink some milk and eat some bread. We waited till the rain a bit smaller then we get a taxi to Vivo City.

We adults having breakfast there and the kids has some too. Since there are 7 of us, cannot fit in one taxi, we took two taxi.

Me and the boys reached first, while waiting for sister in law, we had some camwhoring.

We had our breakfast here at Food Republic at Vivo City, lots of varities and the food are good. In fact after our USS, we had our late dinner/supper here again at night.

look at the fluffy chinese pastry, so tempt to try, but too much choice at this food repulic till we don't have chance to try this.

my nasi lemak! Look at the lucheon meat, it look so good and tasty, but actually no, it taste like rubber!! But the sambal and the rice are good.

i order some char siew pau for sharing, i like this type of char siew pau.

After a quick breakfast, we took the monorail from Vivo City to USS. It is a very short ride, it took about 5 - 7 mins only.

Water World

This is very interesting, if you seated at the front row or at the session that get wet, i tell you, you're getting FULLY wet, when it said a bit wet, actually you get WET too!!!! While watching this, i get my boys wear their rain coat to avoid get FULLY WET. hahahah

After the water world, all of us feel hungry, me and sister in law and my two boys go for some snack while hub sister and two newphews went for another ride.

We all took a break here...walked too much and queue for each ride was torturing! Oh ya, actually we can get express pass, it cost SG48 per pass. You don't need to queue, can just walk in and take the ride. Since my boys don't take much ride, and that time it almost night, it kind of waste if we purchase it.

And worst, i walked too much and my shoe soak in water for too long, and my shoe decide to said "bye bye" to me!!! Leave me no choice and i got myself a pair of slipper at one of the kiosk at USS, guess how much?? It cost me SG40!!! *faint* my most expensive slipper! No, it did not print any USS word on the slipper. Recently when i do my shopping at one of the shopping mall nearby my area, i saw this kiosk selling the same slipper and the same brand, it cost MY40! Yes, again, don't do convertion so it will be same price. :S

on the way out, Cruz saw this cotton candy, he told me he want, look how "tall" is the cotton candy, and when the wind blow, you can see it "slant" aside.

We rush for a show at Sentosa Island, we took the same monorail till the last station and we watched this Song of the Sea show at the beach side, it was very interesting .

Show start at 8.40pm and it about 25 mins show. By the time it finish it about 9.30pm, we went back to USS again, as sister in law they want to get some more things from there. By the time all finish, we reached at Vivo City almost 10pm+ and had our very late dinner! It is almsot 12am when we reached hotel, bath the kids, put them to sleep and we start do some packing, and me and sister in law only slept at 3am!!! A tired and fruitful day!

JMC Final Exam

Time flies, my boys had attended Yamaha JMC ( Junior MUsic Course) for two years, yesterday they had their first exam to complete the course. Last Wednesday, also my last class to sit in together with them, from next level onwards, they will be in the class by their own, no more me to company them in the class. It is a relief for me, but i do miss the moment that i spent with them in the class, i am kind of having a mix feeling.

We were at the Yamaha HQ at Kelana Jaya for the exam. It was in the afternoon, i don't know why, i think i am the one getting more nervous than the boys. When we are on the way i am too nervous till i got stomach ache! ahhahahahhaha..silly me!

Exam is one by one, i am allow to be in the room together with the music teacher and also one examiner. Exam room was scary, it is so quiet, and that time i can see some worry on my boys face. I cannot do any signal to them, have to leave it to their own.

Cruz doing first, then only Fearles. Both playing one same song and one different song. Fearles was doing good on one of the piece of song and his singing, comment given was his singing is loud and clear. Oh yes, we do get the immediate comment from the examiner after the boys "performance".

Well, now it is all over, this week they are going to have a small party to celebrate their graduation, and looking forward for the next level which is JXC ( Junior Extension Course), after the two years course, then they are going to have a real exam, if fail, means fail and they have to retake the exam.

Well done boys, and after the exam , i brought them to Mcd to reward them. I told them if the result back, it's a big star, i am going to buy them Smurf toys which requested by them. :)

Lion City - Singapore 2011 - Day 1

~ Another backdated post ~

During the long raya week and the short school holidays break and just few days after i back from Sibu Sarawak, we went to Singapore for a 3 days 2 nights short holidays. Believe it or not, i never step foot in this country before and this is my VERY FIRST trip in lion city. tsk tsk tsk.

It is a very last minute arrangement, sister in law arrange the trip while i am back in Sibu. She manage to grab the offer from Tiger Airways and this is also our first time taking Tiger Airways.

This trip was mainly "ladies + kids" trip, me, my younger sister in law and hub's sister and 4 active boys! My hub and his younger brother, they ride the bike to Hatyai instead of joining us.

We left on Sunday evening, it was about an hour flight, but the journey to airport and waiting and from airport to hotel, took us a lot of times. Flight depart at the "forever-busy" budget airport LCCT, lucky flight depart on time and check-in at the counter was a breeze, it was at another section and no long queue and less havoc.

Flight touch down on time, we reached Singapore budget airport at 5.40pm, after immigration, bus transfer to Changi Airport, then we took MRT to town center, after change at a few station we are end up at ION shopping Mall. :S

I mention earlier, this is my first trip, and my two sister in law only been there twice or thrice, so one of them is our "tour guide". Lucky we still manage to find our way to the hotel and didn't get lost . hahahhahah

We are staying in this hotel, Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre

this is our room, quite spacious, manage to accommodate 3 adults and 4 kids!! We add one extra bed, hub's sister was sleeping on the extra bed, me and my sister with kids sleep on the twin queen bed, it just nice to fit three of us in one bed.

I love this hotel, their service is good, hotel room nice and clean, staffs are polite and helpful. I don't mind to go back again to this hotel for my future visit.

After we checked in the hotel, put our luggage in the room, then we were out again to hunt for food. We were heading to Marina Bay.

there are one row of restaurant with very unique and nice design just next to the hotel. This trip was too rush, we got no time to check that out, we just passed by the place.

We are thinking to have some street food here, but look at the distance to walk over, we nearly faint. Everyone were so hungry, kids had some bread in the room before we came out. There is one new shopping mall in Marina Bay, we decide to just go to the food court to have our late dinner. After check with the information counter on which direction is the food court, and what time do they closed, because it was already 10pm! We walk and walk and walk, like forever never reach the end of the building to locate that food court! tsk tsk tsk

when we walk and walk to find the food court, we passed by one of the cafe, suddenly heard the loud water dropping down, we stand there and watch, interesting. I think they have certain time to have this .

Finally, we reached the food court, such a long walk! This food court is next to a skating rink.

my plate of CKT, taste ok, i order "medium size " because i am super hungry and it cost me SG8 ..tsk tsk tsk..i know...don't convert don't convert, but can't help, i still do the calculation.

After our late dinner, and think of walking a long way out again, all of us surrender. We check with the information counter, which is the short cut to walk out from the building. She told us can walk up to the roof top then from there can walk to the main road.

It has a very nice view on the roof top, enjoy the scenery at Marina Bay, and we can see Singapore Flyer,and also oversee the Singapore river nice night view.

We had a slow stroll on the bridge and took some pictures and went back to hotel and rest. It is almost 12am, kids were all worn out and we need a good rest, because we know the next day will be another long day.

My Creation - Part 50

This is another quick and easy breakfast bento for my boys to bring to school. Got this idea from Pinterest, thinking it is easy and simple. Here is my version.

Sometime i won't tell my boys what i give them to bring to school, i like to give them "surprise". When you back home, and the boys will start to tell you, i love your surprise!!! The expression is priceless. Then they will tell you, i want the surprise again tomorrow. :D I will tell them, surprise not come everyday, if everyday, then that not surprise already.

Two pieces of bread, before spread the jam, i use ginger bread man mould, put on centre and mould out one "man" and put aside. Then spread the bread one set with PB, another one spread with butter and sugar, use the bread mould to seal the side and cut the side.

Sprinkle some hundreds and thousands on the bread. Tada, this is the outcome.

We were there together with Shireen & family and Barbara & family.

This 6 months old restaurant is co-owned by Alan Yun. You know him? A famous local celebrity and now he is venture into F&B business.

Homemade Fu Chuk Yee Mai ( fresh beancurd sheet with barley and gingko)

In house special, very thick and it's a bit like soya bean texture to me, i like. It is a "must try" drink.

Yam basket with sweet & sour pork.

Something different, usually this yam basket is with "kong pou chicken" but at Pin Xiang it is with sweet and sour pork, my boys love it so much, kids favorite.

Pin Xiang Fried Talapia.

This is their house special too, fried talapia with lots of fresh garlic! I am not a garlic person, but i love the fish. Dip the meat with the sauce, yummy. The sauce is a bit "hot" as they add some chili padi in it, to give the sauce extra kick.

This is interesting, Kailan with Yam.

I think you cannot find this in other restaurant. I don't eat yam, but i love the kailan. I think my mother in law will love this dish and those who like yam.

Mongolian Style Crispy Pork Knuckle

Another my boys favorite dish, especially Cruz, he is crazy over pork knuckle. Crispy skin and dip with the sauce, perfect match. It could be better if they don't over fried it, it's a bit dry to my liking and hard to bite.

Taste creamy and i think got a bit salted egg in there. Nice, finger licking good.

Ying Yang Pranws means "two taste" prawns. Nice & fresh.

Champagne spare ribs and the red color balls at the back are the juicy and big watermelon!
The meat a bit dry and hard, but i love the taste.

This is my favorite, very good combination.

Assam Petai!

I cannot give comment on this, because i don't eat petai. :)
But by judging the food on the plate, it should be taste very good, because it almost clean plate!!

Pin Xiang signature taufu, very nice.

By the time this dish come, i almost finish my rice. It is nice to eat this taufu with rice, very tasty and they add "choi pou" with the mince meat to enhance the extra sweetness and saltiness . Yum yum.

We thought the taufu is the last dish, but there come another plate of crabs! In fact, Alan order two different way cooking of crabs for us, but we told him, we are too full and cannot stomach another plate of crabs.

Last but not least, we got this homemade shanghai moon cake as dessert.

i am not a moon cake person, but i can't resist myself to have few serving of this. tsk tsk tsk

Sibu Trip 2011 - Food P0rn!!

I am back from the long blog break!! Not that i just came back from Sibu, but i am back two weeks ago, yes, this is another backdated post. *sigh*

After i back from Sibu trip, few days later we went for another short holidays nearby, which is a place that was my first time step foot on the country, but that will be in another post, stay tune for that.

My recent Sibu trip, it was an un-planned trip. My grandpa was unwell beginning of the month, i decide to go back to paid him a visit, since this year with the hectic schedule i have not go back. I brought my two boys went back together with me, yes, they skip their school for 4 days, and i brought back all their homeworks back too. :(

This trip we went back by taking Firefly, this is my first experience with this budget airline, good that it depart at KLIA instead of LCCT, the forever busy, noisy, havoc airport! Food was i pre-order online, i am not sure how it go, but when i book online, it don't allow me to pass if i don't click the inflight meal. I did see some passenger on flight, they don't pre-book their meal, i wonder how to skip that. They do have in flight meal too, but you have to paid, just like another budget airline. Things are expensive. One thing about the food with firefly, they might need to improve a bit.

Fearles said the noodles is good, i didn't try, he finish half of it. Nasi lemak is too spicy to my liking. We are taking the early flight, Cruz was sleeping all the way to Sibu, so i have to finish the food, but i just took few spoons of both. Nasi bryani too dry and not much taste. :(

Upon arrival, first thing i told my mum, let's go for breakfast first before go home, i miss my kampua noodles, this is in my top list "a must have food" every time when i am back home.

When i just reached home, i receive an sms from Arthur, asking me am i already back in town, i told him i just back, he said he is on the way to my mum house and look what he bring for me??

delicious and freshly baked from oven chicken pies and "lay piang"!! In case you want to know what "lay piang" is, read this post from Arthur, you will get the idea. This is a 'cake" or "biscuit" that i have not eat for many many years. How sweet Arthur is ya?

Back in Sibu, nothing much to see, every day beside food it still about food. LOL. That said how much i eat and eat the food i missed and can't get in KL.

We had a late lunch on my first day arrival. We went to Y2K Sibu to have lunch, food was good but a bit pricey to Sibu standard.

Midin, i love this vegetable very much. I like it to cook with foo chow red wine.

It taste different from the sweet and sour meat here in KL.

cangkuk manis fried with egg.

Sarawak cangkuk manis is different from here, it taste more crunchy and sweet. This is a common dish in most restaurant, and also a must try dish if you happen to visit Sibu or Sarawak.

Next day, we met up with Arthur for breakfast nearby my mum's house. I want to try the coffee at this coffee shop where Arthur said it's the best in town, i have to agree with him.

After breakfast, we make a trip to Sibu Central Market, i know my boys miss their 'friend" - the live chicken!!! LOL

On the same night, we met up with Arthur and his missus again for dinner at one of the restaurant in town.

we have their house special fried kampua and chicken rice and sweet and sour meat.

A simple dinner, i do hope Arthur and his missus enjoy the dinner, although the food is super simple, they might have it everyday, but to me it is the food i missed. :D

My 6 days 5 nights back home, like i said i just eat non stop, there are no hunger moment. kekekekkekke

Tada...this is my kampua collection. Yes, a lot of you may said this look like wantan noodles, it is far away taste like wantan noodles. Actually, kampua it's original plain white in color, but i like my version - with soya sauce and chili sauce, that is why all my kampua is dark in color.

~ pian sip, here we call it wantan, but the wantan skin in Sibu is more thin and soft, very different, i like.

~ pork liver soup with foo chow red wine, this one you can order it at most coffee shop that sell kampua, nice to have this soup with kampua, yum yum.

how they do it, they will pour a thin layer batter / flour on the wok, move the wok left right and get the batter cook, then "slice" them down piece by piece, then add on soup. This is how they cook, something interesting and worth to try. This place i went, the taste so so only, don't have the "old" taste which i use to eat.

A day before i leave Sibu, Arthur sms me and told me he got something for me again. You see what he get for me? He knew that i got no time to eat all the food, he bought this Sibu delicacy, tee piang for us! tsk tsk tsk.

this one is with meat filling. I prefer the plain one, and i like to dip it with chili sauce and eat.

On my return flight, i told them to just ignore my pre-book meal, i just get the noodles for Fearles, and Cruz want hotdog, but they are running out of hotdog, end up i bought a cup noodles for him @ RM7. :S

Last but not least, Arthur get me this Sibu tradition moon cake!! Thank you so so much for all the food, Arthur!

It just a short trip, hope next round i can go back for a longer time.

Little boy's note

Last night when i prepare my boys to go to bed, i saw one of my boy, taking some note out from the shelf where he "hide" it. Out of curious, i ask him what is that, when i see the note i really had a good laugh!!!

I ask him why he wrote that, he told me, two of their best friend said want to come to our house and play, so he is giving them the house add, but don't ask me what is the other note all about. :(

Guess which of my boys will do such things? No prize for who guess it right. I bet you all know who is the cheeky one.

Look at the note, so funny! It's only got the house number, with no road name. And there is spelling error, instead of "AND" he wrote "END", when i told him this morning, he said he want to re-write another piece. I said we are late for school!

Another note, this is the little girl at school that he like. Always tell me about this little girl, i think the name should be Chelsea.

Well, the name on the note is not the person who wrote and "adore" the little girl, it is the other way round! * hair pulling*!

Lately i have post a lot food pictures in my FB or some in blog here. You may said i am on food marathon, but those coupon deal are too tempting, just hard to resist not to buy.

We are planning a birthday celebration for one of my good friend, Vivian. It is our yearly affair to celebrate each other birthday together. We have ask her what she would like to have for her birthday, and finally we decide to have Korean food. I saw this good deal from Everyday.com, and this is the Korean restaurant that i would want to try quite sometime already. This is the good chance, immediately i get the coupons.

There we went on 30/7, it's a Saturday noon, we scared the big crowd and we are "kiasuness" we went as early as 11.30am!!!

We had a good time eating and chatting, we are glad we are there early, when we finish our lunch at 2pm, the restaurant was full with crowd. We had a full tummy and total bill we paid was less than RM200!! Food that shown above all include in the coupons, except that miso soup and steam egg, tax and drinks. You said worth it? That is explain why i can't resist to get more coupon deals! LOL

Some simple things can make my boys happy

Sometime kids are easy to please, not neccessary buy them expensive toys or hi tech gadgets (but they still wish they can get those!!)

Weeks ago, i quietly stock up the fridge with their favourite yakult, vitagen, ice cream and some sweets (they get to eat, when they behave good as a rewards) . I didn't tell them, when they open the fridge and saw all the things, they said, oh, you buy them? Thank you mummy, and they run to me and give me a hug! *sweet*

I am quite lazy in doing my bento lately, all my tools are collecting dust. :( Daily i still prepare them bread or some pancake to bring to school, easy and quick. On some day, i will give them some surprise like below......

Pin a gummy gum on top of the bread, another simple and easy bread. When they open the box at school, i can imagine their expression. O..O When i am back home from work, they said, " mummy, i like the "surprise" bread! I want that again tomorrow"

My Boys's Masterpiece - Part V

I know i "abandon" this blog for a while again and again. *sigh*

Little update on my boys ~ They are having this art class at home for a year plus already, so far so good, they enjoy it and every week they are looking forward for the art day.

Recently, one of our maid complete her two years contract and went back for good, with one more left, she can't cope much with housework and taking care with all the kids. Now i have to train my boys to be more independent, some simple things they have to learn and take care themselve, maid only can just look see they are not run out from the house. Now, my boys learn how to shower themselves, althought sometime they still take their own sweet time chatting and play water in the shower room. Sometime they can be good, without me nagging them, they will shower themselve before i back home from work. When i am at home, i will monitor how they shower and do "spot check" on them and i train them on some little things like bring the plates and cups to the basin after their food, throw their dirty clothes into the basket, put back their own toys, list go on.....and i am getting more busy at home too, doing laundry cleaning and all. Not forgetting the daily school homework, nagging the kids to practise their piano (going to have their exam next month!!) This is the exciting life of a motherhood! I am not complaining but i just want to noted this down. :)

Nathalie's Gourmet Studio @ Solaris Dutamas

Sometime in last month end, our boss sent us for a team -building course, usually those course things is something boring, but he came out with an idea, which is sent all of us for "A" cooking course!

The place he choose no other than Nathalie's Gourmet Studio!! We had it on a working day, we leave an hour early to go for the course. Ya, you can imagine after finish, it is almost 10pm!!

Fully equip kitchen, this is the place where we learn our cooking & baking! Cool ya.

We had some tea and coffee, while waiting for my other colleagues to arrive.

Since it is a team building course, we divided to three groups, each groups got 6 person. We rotate to do the task, very interesting.

We had a good time, it is really a good and interesting team building course and we all enjoy eating the food that cooked by us too! This is my very first baking and cooking class, it sure give me a very good experience.

Sanuki Udon @ Taman Desa

Another back dated post.

I know i need to catch up with my blogging and blog hopping.

I just get to know this small and cozy place, Sanuki Udon recently. The owner, Mr. Seiji Fujimoto is the same owner that i blog in previous post @ Japanese BBQ. After google and i only found out this place actually quite wellknown and already been there for few years and many of my friends been there before too!

First time, i went with my hubs and two boys for dinner. We reached there around 8pm+, all tables were occupied, we have to wait for a while for the table. We took some pictures that night, but pictures not so good, because the light in the restaurant was a bit dim.

I went again with Barb on 10/7 which is a day after B-E-R-S-I-H (9/7). It was Barb first time trying the udon, we went for brunch, we are "kiasu" and reach there as early as 11.30am!!! They just open, and we are their first customers!

I am not a udon person, i prefer ramen more than udon, but this, i give two thumbs up. The noodles texture is good, very different from what we it outside or other place. You can just "slurp" it, sometime too fast, it will "accidently" slip down to your throat! LOL I love the soup base, very very nice!

Karaage, this is very nice.

After our satisfy brunch, we brought the kids to the nearby playground and let them play. The weather was good, windy and gloomy, kids enjoy themselve very much, keep request us to bring them back there again.

I think "OMG" is commonly use in our daily life, anything, we will go "OMG, OMG". You agree?

Lately when i said "OMG" i have to careful, i make sure i use the correct term. I use to said "oh my god!".

One day, my boy told me, "mummy, you know you cannot said "oh my god", you got to said "oh my gosh" or "oh my goodness", because you cannot use "god's" name! @..@

Oh ya, my two boys are in a christian kindy, that's why they learn a lot from there. :)

Japanese BBQ @ Taman Desa

Two weeks ago , a day before father's day, we went to this unique and open air place for Japanese BBQ. I get to know this place from Barb, it's one of her hub's friend who operate this BBQ.

We didn't plan earlier, it's was a last minute things, since we also need to have dinner, we decide to hop by this place and try out the food.

We were there around 7pm, not very crowded, only few tables occupied, maybe it's located at a quiet place, not many people know this place yet.

it's an open air concept, the owner got the whole place to himself.

Mr. Seiji Fujimoto, the owner of the BBQ shop and he also own another restaurant too, Sanuki Udon, it's within the vicinity.

I had already try the food at Sanuki Udon last week, that will be in another post. :)

Avillion Admiral Cove @ Port Dickson

~ A backdated post ~

Remember i mention in my previous post saying i am taking a few days off just to company my mum, my nephew and my boys? We were going for a 2 days 1 night stay at PD, with my three brother in law's and family. This is my nephew first trip to Port Dickson and my mum's second. We are staying at Admiral Cove this time, since we are the member of Avillion, we get free room stay, although it is a school holidays, we still can utilise the voucher, this is the plus point.

Hubs and the brother, they ride their bike to Port Dickson, and i drove my mum and the kids, "tailing" behind my another brother in law's car and sister in law's car. It was a smooth journey, traffic was ok, we reached in Port Dickson in 1.5 hour time.

A very nice hotel, i just love the view!!!

I love their air cond, especially on a hot hot day. Most of the hotel we stay, we always complain it is not cold enough, but definitely not this hotel!

Kids just can't wait, quickly change and they want to go to the pool and swim! Not much picture to share, because i am in the pool with them too!! Most of the time, when we go holidays, it always the wrong timing (if you get what i mean, LOL), i don't get to swim. This time we all in the pool for 1.5 hours !!!

All the kids just reluctant to come out from the pool, we have to drag them out, because all of us are so hungry! Shower them, change and we off to the restaurant that we frequent dine in - Top Seafood.

we are too big group, we got 12 adults and 8 kids so we have to seperate to two tables, one for adults one for kids.

Late dinner, by the time we finish dinner, it's almost 10pm, back to hotel and rest, i think the men they go for some drink. Kids all sleep early, and they can't wait for the next day.

and this "air head"! I had it last time, but not this time i didn't join them, i just stay at the beach, look after the things, and look after the kids with my sister in law.

We spent two hours plus at the beach, play with sands and swim in the sea and play some water sport, by the time we finish, it's almost time to check out. Have a quick shower, pack the bag, and we are time to leave. Short holidays, but we know the kids are having so much fun. Especially my nephew, got so many the "first time", a really good memory and experience for him.

A fruitful day outing

It was a Saturday morning, i told my mum i am going to bring her to the biggest popular bookstore at IPC (Ikano Power Centre), since my mum want to look for some chinese book. We brought the kids together with us since during school holidays i didn't bring them go anywhere, except for the day before brought them to the bird park.

We had breakfast at Kluang Station, while having breakfast we heard loud noise from the concourse area, to our surprise, we saw a lot movie "characters" on stage and took pictures with everyone, i only realise they are having some movie carnival at the mall.

My boys and my nephew quickly finish their breakfast and hurry we went down.

After we spent almost three hours at the mall, we left, had late lunch at Kuchai Lama, then we went to this dessert shop, My Honeymoon, at Kuchai Lama branch, i heard so much about this place, but never been to, since my hub not a dessert person.

Too many choice, till we don't know what to choose, end up we are having this......

my mum order this "fu chok yee mai", taste so so only, i think our homemade one is a lot better.

i am having this, don't know what it call, top with mango, and the bottom like some "flat noodles" but in cold, nice nice.

Brought my mum and nephew to Din Tai Fung for dinner, kids just enjoy the xiao long pao so so much, i can see my nephew enjoy himself so much this trip and so do my boys.

Bird Park revisit ~ 2011

My mum and my nephew were here during the recent school holidays. Beside than daily bring my mum out for some eating spree, i am not forget the kids too. I took two days off, it's a Friday morning, i brought them to bird park, since my nephew never been to bird park before.

I told the kids to wake up early, so it won't be so hot. We had breakfast at the mamak stall that nearby my house, then we off to the bird park.

Reached there around 10am, it was not so crowded, althought it is a school holiday. Easily to get parking and purchase the ticket then we start our "tour".

This is my boy's third visit, the first time we were with Elaine and family, second time they are with their kindy, and this time they are with their cousin and my mum.

While we are waiting for another hornbill feeding session, we saw this koi fish pond, we bought the fish food at the vending machine, and let the kids feed the fish. They have so much fun too. :S

This time the hornbill feeding not much intersting compare to last round while the kids get to try their hand to feed the birds. After the bird feeding session, we walk to another side, the place where the kids looking forwards.........................................................

Taking pictures with the bird!! We took a group photo and purchase it at RM30 and the staff use my camera to take a few more pictures too.

Notice the grey bird on Cruz's hand? Cruz name him "hamsap" bird, while we are taking picture, it saw those bling bling things on my shirt, it thought it's food, it keep pecked me on the wrong part! Cruz keep laugh at the silly bird.

After the group pictures, the kids want to take individual pictures with the birds. You can use your own camera to snap, they will charge RM10, but they will only give you two birds. I don't know why my boys got so many birds on their hand and head, and yet i only paid for RM10
. After my boys then my nephew and even my mum also want to try. LOL

Then we proceed to the feeding lollies part, the kids look forward to it too. Two years ago, my boys were afraid of the bird, Fearles even cry when all the lollies stand on his hand and head. This time round, they enjoy so much till i have to "drag" them out from that place.

Not only kids enjoy, adults enjoy too...look at my mum!

Spending almost 20 mins inside there, they still not willing to leave, keep ask me to buy more milk for the lollies to drink. I have to tell them, the lollies too full to drink more milk, later they will puke.

It's noon time, the weather getting hotter and hotter, we had some ice cream before we leave.

Sports Day ~ 2011

I cannot believe i have "neglect" this blog for almost three weeks!! I am back, not that i go for another holidays, but May is just a busy month for me. After the birthday party and all then my mum and my newphew was in town for 10 days during the school holidays, that explain on my MIA (missing in action).

Last month, my boys had their yearly sports day on the 1st day of school holidays ~ 28/05/2011,it's a Saturday morning, this year the event start early at 8.30am and this will be my boys last year sports day in the kindy.

I am a bit surprise this year, two of them are in different team! One in blue and one in yellow, so this mummy have to cheer for two teams!

I think i know why this year two of them in different team, maybe there are a lot young kids, so need to get those older kids so split into three groups and let them guide the small one.

After sing Negaraku, praying, and sing some songs, sports day started.

The "race" last about 45 mins, then it's parent time to have some race, this year i didn't join, give chance to others. LOL

After the sports over, some light breakfast/brunch served. All contribute by the parents. This year being a bit lazy, i just get some very nice egg tart from the morning market nearby my house, everyone like it so much and praise it to the sky. hahahhaha

Finally it all over, i mean my boys's big day. Now all my extra task finish and back to the normal schdule, and finally take a bit rest ( i hope).

On their actual day, we had a small celebration at their kindy and since this is also their last year at the kindy, let them have some fun with all their little friends at kindy.

an invitation sent to the individual kids at the kindy....oh ya, that is my "cute" handwritting, not my boys. Now you may laugh at my handwritting!

order another batch of "angry bird" cuppies for the kids. This round with slight different deco on the cupcakes.

party pack, i asked the art teacher to teach my boys to draw or do some deco on the party pack, instead of me alone finish all. *evil smile*

This round i do something for the kids and teachers again. Since i need to cook for the party, teachers suggest me to do something like two years ago, easier for me and easier for the teachers too, and it wont be so messy. Yes, another round bento for kids and teachers, but this round won't have any fancy and nice bento box, it just normal tupperware i get from supermarket. Now, that is the extra task to add on to my list!!!

Oh ya, this round not so much bento compare to last round, this time only 35 bentos for kids and teachers.

slowly add in spaghetti, nuggets and sausage!! I want to do some nice deco on the sausage but lack of practice, i had a fail one. I just did some really simple flower sausage and lazy and easy way. That explain different box got different type of sausages. LOL

this is the one that i want to do , after fail so many times. Towards the end i got it right, but due to time permit, i got no time to add extra sausage in the centre to make like a flower or smiley sausage. So it just goes into the box like this. Easy and lazy way. hahahahhahahha

We don't have any celebration with the family, on the night, we asked the boys what they like to eat, kids as usual, they told us they want to eat MCD! We brought them to Mcd for a quick dinner, then we rush home, as they got art class at night. Simple and quiet 6th birthday celebration for this year .

Picnic 6th Birthday Celebration

On 15.05.2011, my boys had an early joint birthday celebration together with Ashley, as many of you already know three of them are born on the same year and same day. :)

This year we ( me and Barb) got a chance to get our kids to celebrate together. One month before , we already plan where to go and we just want something simple and easy. After few discussion, still nothing come out, we thought of give up and will do individual. Then this picnic idea, came from Barb, and i agree with her idea, from there we start to plan.

Like i said in previous post , beside than planning the birthday party for them, at the same time i am also mid doing their new room and shifting them to their new room, hoping all can done before their birthday.

Before we plan for the picnic, i told the boys this year there will be no party for them, just a simple one at home and in school, they look at me and kind of sad. It's a good idea choosing picnic as a birthday party, it would be better if the weather not so hot!

It is a Sunday morning, all my in laws had to work and also my hub, so at the picnic party, it's only kids from my side. I brought the 7 kids with me and off we depart the house at around 8am. Hard to find parking on a Sunday morning, looks like everyone woke up early on Sunday and go to park for morning exercise. It's quite a challenge for me to bring 5 kids ( the other two came later) and not forget the foods and drinks and party packs!!! Every kids i assign them to help me with those lighter stuff, and i am carrying a tray of mee siam and 30 packs of nasi lemak and i went for second round to bring the packet drinks.

We are the earliest, everyone still not there, after we put all the stuff at one and the only hut at the park, kids can't wait to go to the playground and running around and i manage to snap some pictures also.

After the light breakfast, all kids can't wait to go to the stream and catch small fishes, this is my boys second exprience at the stream. We brought them to this stream when they are 2yo+ but that time they are still young not really enjoy, but just like the water. Last year we attended a mom's kid birthday party here too, but it was raining, the boys just get to play for a while. This time they really enjoy themselve so much!! They spent almost one hour there!

look at the kids, busy catching fishes. This place is cooling with not so much sun light, now we are planning another mini picnic by the stream!! This is a better place for picnic, can monitors the kids and also we can sit at the side.

After the kids spent about one hour + at the stream, the sun is getting hot, and it is around 11.15am, and everyone about to leave. We have to "pull" all the kids out from the stream and only can start the cake cutting session.

Thank you everyone for coming to my boys picnic birthday celebration, and hope everyone of you do enjoy yourself. I am sure all the kids enjoy because my boys and the cousins already ask me when do i bring them again for picnic!!!!! We are actually planning another picnic trip, hut this round we just want simple food drinks and not carry tons of foods and drinks like mad. I got a body ache and sore arm and shoulder the next day.

This is one of the task that i am busy with for the past one month and another two more tasks, finish two of it and one more to go, before i can take a small break!!

Finally, my two boys leave my nest last night and in their own new nest last night! They are excited, everyday ask me when can they move to their new room.

That is when hub told them to quit their jut jut then only can move. Now they quit their jut jut, but we have yet to get them the bed sheet. We manage to get it last two days and when i told them yesterday, saying they can move to their new room and sleep last night, they got excited!

Few days before they moved to their new room, i asked them are they happy? Cheeky Cruz said " i know you will be sad" I asked "why?" He answer " because you cannot smell me anymore lo". How true!! Last night i didn't sleep well, i feel my bed like so empty, no more Fearles kicking at me at night, no more hearing them snoring, no more fighting for the space to sleep, and i so use to sleep with them for the past 5 years. Feeling a bit lost, hahahhaha, you can call me weird. My mum was right, she said, i will be the one that sneak to my boys room and sleep with them instead of them coming over to my room!

As for the two boys, they are excited, put them to bed, then i was in my room doing some cleaning and clearing, when Cruz walk in and tell me he want milk, so i make him milk and put them to sleep again. After 1/2 when i go and check on them, i cannot find Fearles on the bed, and he climb up to Cruz's bed and sleep with him, he said he scare, because no light. I didn't get any night light for them, because we use to sleep with all lights off.

After many rounds, walk in and out, i get them a small table lamp and cover with towel to make the light dim, only then they fall sleep. Not sure is it them not sleep well too or too excited, they wake up so early today at 7am!! Usually when i wake them up in the morning @ 8am, i got a hard time.

Now, my boys are really grow up, another few more days they will turn 6 already, how time flies. *sniff sniff*

Their pearly white dropped!

My boys dropped their teeth last week, to be exact ~ 12/05/2011.

When i look back at my old post, i only found that i didn't post about Cruz dropped his first pearly white last year end, I posted in FB but not here.

As a record, i got the picture from FB...

Cruz dropped his first tooth last year ~ 18/11/2010, just few days before their year end kindy thanks giving day.

Last Thurs, when i reached home from work, Fearles look at me and smile, and i notice his bottom tooth was missing. He told me, my tooth came off already!! :( I don't know why i feel so sad about it.

After dinner, while i enjoy a little moment for myself for watching my tv, my niece came and tell me, Cruz's mouth was bleeding. I was like what happen? He knock somewhere? I found Cruz was washing his mouth and still got little bleed. When i look closer, it was actually his two teeth came off!! One is already a bit shaky, but i have no idea why both came off. One night i am collecting three pearly white. *double sigh*

When they first grow their pearly white i was excited and happy. I remember the teeth that dropped actually is their first tooth that first grow out when they are still a baby. Cruz has his first tooth earlier than Fearles. That's explain Cruz dropped his earlier also?

When i posted the picture above in FB, everyone said Cruz must be in pain or he is so sad that he dropped two teeth in one time. Actual story was, i am teasing him and still want to take a picture of him. He asked me, why i took picture, i said "i want to show the everyone that you dropped your teeth" . He got angry and start sobbing, but i still want to take a picture of him. I know i am bad. :(

Finally, my two boys quit their "jut jut" ~ Pacifier, just before they turn 6 in another one week time!!! Yeah!

I always thought it is hard to quit them off their "jut jut". "Jut Jut" is their life, is their "comforter" when they feel sad, tired, sleepy. Even when we go holidays their jut jut also follow us to holidays. :S

Fearles, did quit for few times, there was once he quit for 7 days, after that he had his jut jut back again. Then another time he quit for 5 days, end up he took back his jut jut again. As for Cruz, he is a hardcore jut jut fans. He cannot live without his jut jut. I had a hard time to persuade him to give up his jut jut.

When they are young, still baby, i gave them, because it will be easier for me to take care them. When one crying, i just put the pacifier into their mouth, it will pacify them.

Now, let me tell how they quit their "love". Exactly a week ago ( to be exact ~ 9/5/2011), my hub told them, they are going to move to their new room and sleep on their own, they are excited, can't wait to move there. (this is one of my mini project, paint their room, put in deco, bed, wardrobe, that explain why i am being caught up with so many things. Will post that later, when everything ready.)

Back to the story, hub told them, if they are still in their jut jut, they are still baby, so have to sleep with us, cannot go to their new room. Two of them, agree no more jut jut, and today is the 7th days!! So far they are ok, never ask about their jut jut, i think this time will be successful and time to said bye bye to their "love"!

Happy Mummy's Day 2011

This is a small craft done by my boys at their school, of course with the help by their teacher. When i back home from work on Friday, they run out and said "Happy Mother's Day mummy!!" *sweet sweet*

Yesterday was a busy busy day, I need a good rest today. There are still got pending work for me to finish, but, since today is Mother's Day i want a rest, don't do anything. Tonight will go out for a simple dinner with in laws to celebration Mother's Day .

Korea Family Trip - Day 3

A very back dated post, i know it is already two months i came back from my holidays in Korea, and yet i have not finish update my trip.

Before i go for this trip, i do my homework, places want to visit, things want to buy, 1st day go where and second day go where. One of the place in my top list is i want to go for "Nanta Show". Few years ago when i went to Korea, i don't have chance to see Nanta, i told myself, this trip i must go.

We woke up quite late on Day 3, knowing we want to go for Nanta Show and we got the timing. Problem is we didn't book the ticket, we thought of walk in. We approach concierge counter check with them on the Nanta Show and ask them to help us to book for us. They try to call, but the counter was closed, no one is picking up the call. We said we just walk in and try our luck.

We took hotel shuttle bus to Myeong Dong, because there is one theater at Myeong Dong. It is quite easy to locate the place.

We are at the hotel shuttle bus. Every hour they got a shuttle to main shopping district.

We saw this man at the road side, he is advertise for ginseng chicken soup at his restaurant.

We are so happy to see the sign and happy it is so near no need to walk far, but when we walk closer, it is closed and they put a sign there said they are closed temporary for renovation. So sad and we look at the Nanta leaflet see which one is the nearest that we can go. Before we leave, i saw skin food next to it, and i went in again. hahahahhahahhahaha

While i am shopping inside skin food, the three boys outside waiting for me and they are queuing for this------------------------- soft ice cream!!

Two of them didn't want to eat till i come out from the shop and show me their tall ice cream.

We are thinking to find a place to have lunch, but don't know what to eat, end up we have some street food and went into Starbucks to have a cup of coffee and some cakes for the boys. In Korea, you can easily to get coffee, beside than starbucks, they got a lot their own brand coffee.

After a quick bite, we need to walk to Gangbuk to find the Nanta Theater. Look at the map, hub said we can go there by walk, so we just follow....

I think after 15 - 20 mins, we came out from the underground and while we are heading to the theater direction, we heard some loud drum sound from the back. Lucky we turn back and see what is happening. We are at this Deoksu Palace, at first we thought there was film shooting, actually this is daily performance, there will be two or three times a day, cannot remember. Look at the crowd and lucky we manage to squeeze ourselves inside . :)

Poor mummy was attack by mild gastric (must be the night before that strong coffee + another cup of coffee on the morning itself) feeling not so well and not in the mood to take picture with the General.

After the show, we continue our walk to find Gangbuk Nanta Theatre. I tell you, it is another long walk, but with the cold weather and nice scenery and quiet place, it is actually quite good to walk.

After 20 mins walk from Deoksu Palace, finally we found Gangbuk Nanta Theater!! But the counter was closed!! The staff want to go for their break. We told the staff that we want to see the evening show, can we buy the ticket or reserve the ticket, at first they ask us to come back, then we told them, if it is already fully booked no point for us to come back again. The staff are very nice, one of them check the seat for us. Ticket all sold out, except left 4 seats which is VIP seat and is seperate seat, two and two. Without thinking, we said ok, reserve the ticket, and we go back later to purchase. That was around 3pm, we got 2 hours to kill before the show start at 5pm. Nearby Gangbuk nothing much to see and shop, so we decide to take a cab to Nam Dae Mun Market.

A lot things to see here, like grocery, seaweed, instant noodles, spoon, chopsticks, shoe, clothes , souvenier, plates, cups and many many more and very crowded too!!!

Definetly not up to the mood to shop, when with two kids and not feeling well and plus the crowd. We spent almost one hour there look see, and manage to buy two pairs of shoe for my boys. Clothes are all winter clothes, so save my money. :) We took a taxi back to the Nanta show place.

while waiting for the show to start, i was munching on this sweet, big and juicy strawberry that i get from Nam Dae Mun market. It cost RM17, cheap? Actually, after that i saw a few places sell even cheaper, some only sell at RM13 or RM14. :(

It was an interesting 2 hours show, at first, i worry my boys might not enjoy, but i was wrong, two of them enjoy so much and so do us. It is quite funny and with the loud music, we really enjoy, no regret. We are sitting at VIP seats, and just second and third row from the stage. Don't know lucky or unlucky, hub been "invited" to the stage and participate some "show" too. Too bad, we are not allow to take video or picture during the whole show. I was really unwell after the show, we took a taxi back to hotel. After throw out some "wind" from my stomach, i feel a lot better, we decide to walk to the nearby to have dinner. We discover this place while in the morning we took hotel shuttle, they use this short cut way and we only realise actually they are a lot nice restaurant nearby, all hidden and all by walking distance.

My boys's masterpiece - Part IV

I know i still have not finish my Korea trip post and i got a lot back log post too. :( Hope i can blog as much as i can. Next month, May going to be another busy month for me, and now i got three mini "projects" in hand, i won't reveal it now till i get it done. :)

Want to share some food that we had weeks ago. Read about this place in some blogs, finally i got a chance to try it out.

The eatery place is called "Reminisce", same row as Maybank at Mid Valley. Very unique interior design, it bring back a lot good old days memory when we are still a kid, especially for those who born in year 70's.

i order this dried meat and chicken floss sandwiches, i thought just a small portion, it was quite big portion. Bread a bit too dry but they are very generous with the chicken floss.

fried white radish cake, taste ok, it could be better. I still prefer the one at night market, got more "wok hei".

lor mai kai, taste quite good.

A quiet and a comfy place , good for friends gathering or family gathering, food with reasonable price but they only accept cash no credit card.

Brown and Peach

Lately i had a lot interesting conversation with my boys.

As most of you know, my twin boys, one is fair and one is "tan" since their baby time, my friends use to call them "kopi" and "susu"Last week when i shower them, suddenly Fearles said.......

Fearles: mummy, why i am brown colour and Cruz is peach colour?

Me: *still blur, wondering what he referring, after i only realise he is referring to their skin colour*

Cruz: Yes, you and daddy are brown colour, me and mummy are peach colour.

I really had a good laugh.

After a while, Fearles still not happy he is "brown" colour and he said, "mummy actually i am just light brown colour and not BROWN, my friend xxx in school, he is BROWN (he is indian boy). My boys always refer indian as in brown colour. :S

So now Fearles is happy that he is LIGHT BROWN and not so BROWN. LOL!

My Creation - Part 48

I checked my last bento making was 4 months ago!!! Oh no, it had been so long i didn't fix any bentos for my boys on weekend. Daily i still do simple mould bread for them to bring to school.

Some of you may know that i am participate a contest in Facebook, organise by Dutch Lady Malaysia, "What's in your meal container". My colleague saw it and ask me to join the contest, ask me to give it a try, no harm. Here i am, fix this two bentos last weekend and submit it.

This is the picture i submit for the contest, two in one, since i got twin boys, i fixed two. It is very kind of Dutch Lady Malaysia admin sent me an e mail and ask me if i mind to sent them two pictures and submit as two entries for the contest, i am more than happy to hear that. Immediately, i sent them another two seperate picture.

This is actually not the earlier what i plan to do, but with some "unforeseen mishap", end up it come up with this bento.

Sausage in mini bun, carrot stick, sausage octopus, egg flower and strawberries and a packet of dutch lady milk.

When i decide to join the contest, this onigiri bread come to my mind. I saw it at this creative mama bento blog and some other japanese mama bento blog too, i decide to do this and it is simple, not too complicated. :P

My little "musician"

On 30/3 /2011, my boys had their JMC book 3 music party, it also saying they are finished their book 3 and now they will in their book 4, the final book.

Two weeks before the party, my boys already choose what song they want to sing and to play during the party. I get them practice the piano and also the song, i know playing, they are doing ok, i am only worried their singing part. Knowing i got two shy boys especially Fearles, but this round Fearles give us a big surprise!!

Cruz, he want to be the first to go up and do the performance, playing part he is doing good, but singing part, he got stage fright this round, he didn't really sing and we hardly can hear what he sing also. Fearles being cheeky this round, keep telling the brother, we cannot hear, sing louder. LOL

Fearles want to be the last went up, before his turn, he keep checking with me on the song he is going to play and sing. They need to tell everyone what song they are playing and sing. He told me he is going to sing loud this time, i told him "good and try your best". He didn't disappoint me and yet he give me a surprise, he sing loud and not nervous like two previous time. Teacher give a good comment about him, saying he is the best performance for that night, he sing loud and with SMILE, my young man he feel so proud of himself!

Too bad, this time i don't know what happen to my camera, when i do recording, the sound turn up very very soft. Hence, i only upload the singing video up here and not the playing part. I do post some video in FB on their practice at home.

Well done my two boys, and now i start worry about their book 4, because they are going to sit for an exam after they finish their book 4 in Sept!! By then, they will finish the whole course and if they want to continue, they will proceed to another level.

I admit i am not a patience person, especially when coaching my boys homework.

Like i mention in previous post, this year, their homework are getting heavier, daily got 5 books, weekend 8 books to finish and not forgetting there are 5-6 pages of chinese words need to write.

Fearles is quite slow on his study. He always cannot focus and always in his own wonderland. Like a minute ago i taught him the word, he can forgot easily the next minute. Taught him how to do plus and minus, he can do the first three then suddenly he like lost his mind, forgot how to do the rest. I always end up scolding like a "crazy mad woman", pulling his ear, or use ruler to beat the hand *sigh*, which i really don't want this happen always. Final result, a stress mother + a crying kid = double stress and double sigh.

There was one day, after my boys finish their homework, and we spent sometime sit together and watched tv. I asked Fearles, is he angry with me, that i always scold him when doing homework. He shake his head and said "no", i asked again, why he not angry with me? I always scolded till he cried. He answer " because I always make you angry, that's why you scold me." Awwwww..make me feel more guilt! Fearles is a mature and quiet boy, he don't express himself much and he is not like Cruz, more cheeky and like to talk a lot. When he said this, i am a bit "shock" and also feel a bit "touch" too.
